ibaFOB-TDCexp/SDexp version history
This info is applicable to ibaFOB-TDCexp and ibaFOB-SDexp boards (board revision A0 and A1)
- Note: when updating from release A4 or older, a PC reboot is needed after the update.
- New channels created by the board were incorrectly initialized (issue only present on the last revision (A1) of the boards)

- Support for the new board revision A1
- Removed the unnecessary masked dword write at the end of each DMA transfer

- Sniffer Mode (channel data which is exchanged between parties could be sniffed by the board, however data might be non-consistent)

- New EXT mode for channels used by OEM customers (free configuration of channel name, size, mode, service type and transfer direction)
- The last received valid data could become corrupt and the card's internal status of random channels could change. This could only happen when the link went down during a channel transfer of more than 256 bytes

- Workaround for incorrect PLX handling on some PC platforms blocking the DMA
- Note: only the PLX EEPROM is changed, FPGA remains the same. PC reboot needed after the update.

- TDC & SD: Channels which are created by the board, were stored at an incorrect location in the Central Memory (GDM). Becomes a problem when the central system runs low on memory. Preferably the Central Memory should be rebooted after the update.

- TDC: "Link OK" indicator same as for SD: using dummy read accesses every 50 ms (HochLaufKennung and Error telegrams are ignored)
- TDC: output link doesn't generate semivalid symbols anymore during FPGA startup (it sometimes locked up the GDM link)

- DMA runs independent from the automatic rack communication transfer
- Independent transfer periods for RX DMA and TX DMA

- New data channels use different configuration channels PDAxxCMX/xxPDAACX instead of PDAxxCMD/xxPDAACK
- xxPDAACK channel size fixed to 128 bytes, xxPDAACX channel size configurable (by default 260 bytes)

- Initial release supported by ibaPDA v6.32 (or higher)
